Employment Opportunities at One Community Church

Job Title:                  Office Manager/Community Outreach Coordinator

Reports To:               Session/Executive Director

Hours:                      Part-time 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Work Monday - Thursday, approximately 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

  • Update and Maintain Church Database information using Planning Center

  • Maintain the security system software

  • Interface with our Accounting/Payroll company

  • Manage the church calendar and schedule/track all facility usage

  • Develop and Manage Admin/Office budget; Prepare and track annual church budget

  • Maintain personnel files and track employee vacation and time off; Update Employee Handbook

  • Communicate building and repair needs to Property team leader

  • Develop and implement community Reach programs to invite, engage and serve others, i.e. monthly/quarterly Invitational Events, Volunteer opportunities, enrichment/needs based groups.

  • Build and work with church volunteer and staff teams to executive Reach programs

  • Work with outside vendors/companies as needed to implement/execute Reach programs

  • Proof weekly worship slides in Pro Presenter, edit/make changes as necessary

  • Accurately maintain the church Book of Minutes, Church Register and keep Membership Rolls up-to-date and verified by Clerk of Session; Complete year end reports for Presbytery and prepare and submit the General Assembly Annual Statistical Report and file on-line as required; Prepare and distribute monthly Agenda for Session Meeting

  • Manage office/church supplies inventory and place orders as necessary, ensure office equipment is running smoothly

  • Greet visitors, answer incoming phone calls, sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail; Identify, develop and implement office policies and procedures as needed

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 5 years office/business management

  • Proficient in MS Office, knowledge of Quickbooks, Planning Center and Pro Presenter a plus

  • Ability to keep all matters confidential.

  • Work well with people.

  • Work independently and be a self-motivated individual.

  • Previous church staff or volunteer experience a plus
